She has a special interest in fertility and pregnancy for people with endometriosis, PCOS, autoimmune disorders, and unexplained infertility. In addition to reproductive health, Dr. Kimmel also specializes in mental wellness, digestive health, and autoimmune disease, but feels that the true healing power of Chinese medicine lies in its ability to rebalance and shift the body in ways that heal a wide variety of ailments.

As a practitioner of Chinese descent, Alli is familiar with how the teachings and wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) are woven into culture and daily life, and she emphasizes education about how the body is understood through the lens of traditional Chinese medicine.

Alli believes in the importance of an open and compassionate relationship between practitioner and patient. She meets patients where they are in their life and healing journey and gently guides them on the path to greater health, happiness, and fulfillment.

Before opening Spreading Roots Acupuncture, Alli practiced at the prestigious Yinova Center in New York City. She is passionate about exploring the synergistic relationship between acupuncture and modern biomedicine, and has provided acupuncture services at NYU Lutheran Hospital and Mt. OUR STORY

In Chinese medicine theory, the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water) are a key way of understanding how the body works. There are many ways of using the elements to understand health and the human body, and each element can represent an aspect of our personalities.

In modern life, the wood elements of our personalities are prized. Wood encompasses the innovative, independent, and driven aspects of our personalities. But just as a tree without a strong root system cannot withstand a storm, when we do not take the time to nourish and support ourselves, the wood aspect can become weak, tired, and out of balance.

Spreading Roots Acupuncture was founded to remind us to take a break from our busy lives – to relax, replenish, and rebalance. Our goal is to provide a healing space where people can create the healthy root system they need to fulfill their destinies.
